The doors of the district are profound in and of themselves. Some open for business, some closed for business and some just shut off from the world. We invite you to stroll the street of El Centro (downtown) and Avenida San Bernardo. This one to El Pasillo de San Agustin is antique wood with years of service and deadbolts keeping the fortress of the wall.
This door to a private residence on Plaza San Agustin is embellished and beautifully restored along with its coordinating gate and Victorian details.
This simplicity of this bold doorway on Flores street is bright in contrast to the monotone, adjacent facades. The unlatched lock makes you want to follow the stairs beyond wherever they go.
This one looks as almost from a western set just short of some horse saddles and tumbleweeds , but is part of the Vegas Interiores Storefront adjacent to main entrance. The shade makes a nice place to hide from the Laredo sun.
This beautifully orchestrated entrance and intricately carved wooden door is to the rear Vegas Interiores building which you can find only if you visit Vegas Interiores or peep you head through the front gate on days they are closed for business.
This door to San Rafael Receptions includes beautiful ironwork painted to match the shades of the surrounding earth in tones of adobe.
